The most dynamic full-range drive units you can find in this world and very suitable for use in our Oris horns.
Lowther these days is just as active as they were years ago having many followers and new enthusiasts using their drive units in a wide variety of enclosures (rear loaded horns, front loaded horns, reflex systems, open panel and used as full-range or midrange, too much to name it all...
It all started a long time ago, see http://www.lowthervoigtmuseum.org.uk, showing a very nice site with a lot of information gathered about Lowther, Voigt and Donald Chave (to me the founders for the better sounding full-range drive units!).
Something must be good about Lowther drive units as they are still around and used all over the world!
We could start talking about Lowther on this website too but this will mostly be repeating what others already write on the World Wide Web, best is to Google around to read. Of course we also do have a lot to tell about Lowther and the most optimal way to use them optimally (in our Oris front horns or as mid-high drive unit in our Quasar MkII system).
Below you'll find the complete list of available Lowther drive units where one will be more suitable for your idea's than the other, if you are in doubt or need advice then do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
